I shopped in several local stores and online for a replacement mounted can opener and was impressed with the price and good reviews on this one. It's been working great since my husband installed it and he said the only problem with installation was me deciding where to put it. It would definitely recommend it.
My prior B&D can opener was simple and easy to work. This new one requires much more involvement with placing cans properpy and hold down the lever to keep it working, and the cutting blade pops out easily.Give me back my old model.
Leaves jaggered edges on top piece it cuts. This Item is not as good as the one (15 years old) it replaced. It works. It's mounting is not as good,requiring you to use plastic spacers instead of hea metal plate that the unit slides in and locks. It also cuts a lot slower (gear) is smaller. I don't believe it'll last have as long. I'd recomend it for the price.
this product was very difficult to find anywhere, stores no longer carry, all others are poorly made and do not work well or last long, our previous Black an Decker spacemaker canopener lasted for 17 yrs and this one is a updated model. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND
This is a very good product. Hated it. I had one in white before. Then I switched everything to black & bought the gizmo undercounter version. It had problems from the beginning. Threw it away after a couple of years and went back to this type
